Vintage 1930's Baby Boy Blue Onesie / Short Set Saks Fifth Avenue
Product Information
A Onesie is actually a brand name of a one piece baby garment that snaps, or in days gone by...buttoned, at the crutch, to keep it from riding up and exposing the baby's tummy. The Gerber Company owns the rights to the 'Onesie' name, as they were busy creating baby products, as well as baby food.
Even designers today, such as Ralph Lauren, have a line of baby onesies.
This adorable little cotton outfit has a lovely blue top that buttons at the back with four mother of pearl buttons. The top also has three tiny MOP buttons on the front panel, with a white lace edged collar, and tuck pleating on both sides of the panel. The short sleeves have a folded cuff, and they are 3 1/2"
across. White shorts, with a three MOP buttoned crutch, are easily removeable for diaper change, using the six large MOP buttons at the waistline. From shoulder to hem measures 16", and across the underarms is 11".
One cloth tag reads: -M- A-LAD'N TOGS, and the other tag reads: Saks Fifth Avenue. A great gift for the child who has everything, or just treat your favorite little guy to a designer tog!
